Heritage Lime Repointing Pack
For repointing traditional solid masonry (stone and brick, mainly pre-1919) with lime mortar in Scotland, Wales and England. Whether to repoint at all, what the existing mortar is, which binder, aggregate and mix to test, how to rake out, place, finish, cure and protect, and what goes wrong. Includes a stone and exposure binder matrix covering NHL 2, NHL 3.5, NHL 5, natural hydraulic lime (FL), lime putty and hot-mixed lime. It adds the lime-specific records on top of Phase 1 and a Phase 2-style site setup.

Who this is for
Owners, architects, conservators, councils and contractors repointing traditional solid masonry with lime mortar.
Key feature: a stone and exposure binder matrix (NHL 2, 3.5 and 5, FL, putty, hot-mixed) that gives starting points to test, not a specification.
Works best with Phase 1 (Local Rules, Handbook) and Phase 2 (site day papers) when laser cleaning is on the same job; this add-on stands alone for lime work. It does not replace mortar analysis, test panels or the producer's current data sheet.

What it is not
- Not a specification for your wall. The matrix gives starting points to test; the binder, aggregate and mix are decided by the existing mortar, the masonry, the exposure and test panels. No prices. Products are named only where a producer's published data is compared; naming is not endorsement. Northern Ireland is not covered. Not conservator-approved.
Saint-Astier, Otterbein (CALCIDUR, HYDRADUR) and Masons Mortar are trade marks or trading names of their respective owners. They are named for identification only, to compare published data. Natural Stone Craft is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any of them, and none has reviewed this pack. Product information is summarised from each maker's or supplier's published data as at the date shown beside it; data changes, so read the current data sheet and safety data sheet before use. No logos or product images are used.
